2008 MACHU PICHU THE NEW SEVEN WONDERS, WORLD HERITAGE PERU : AQUAS CALIENTES is only 8km away from MACHU PICHU but it take us by bus about 25 minutes to climb the narrow steep zigzagging dirt track to the entrance.MACHU PICHU ,is probably the most familiar symbol of the INCA EMPIRE.It was built around 1450AC but abandoned a hundred year later.at the time of the SPANISH conquest of the INCA EMPIRE.In QUECHUA language MACHU PICHU means 'old peak'.MACHU PICHU are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world. no wonder it was list by UNESCO as WORLD HERITAGE also recently become the new seven wonder.

2008 PUCA PUCARA, URUBAMBA, VALLE SAGRADE, PISAC, PERU : Puca Pucare is probably the least impressive of the ruins around Cusco,but its offers impressive views of the Cusco valley and serveral glaciers to the south.our main visit spot was Pisac.Pisac ,on the river Urubamba,is 32 km northeast of Cusco,and a good starting point to visit the Inca ruins along the river valley, called the valley Sagrado,or sacred valley.Pisac arts and chaffer market become the most interest tourist spot.

2008 Paracas, island Ballestas (birds island) Peru : We take bus from ICA to DEL CHACO port by the village of Paracas. We then board to a speed boat start the trip to Ballestas island.the boat pass by many island, desert and the first stop is "CANDELABRO" a 50m candelabra shape traced in the desert hillside overlooking the sea. its a beacon for ancient sailors(one of the guess)The island Ballestas are spectacular island with many caves and arches,which provide shelter for thousands of seabirds and sea lions. The island are home to over 150 species of marine bird including the HUMBOLDT PENGUIN CORMORANTS,BOOBIES and PELICANS.on the shores can be seen large numbers of sea lions.

2008 JAN/FEB AGUAS CALIENTE PERU : AGUAS CALIENTES is the nearest town to Machu Pichu(8km).It is a modest city all the building are concentrated along the railroad.Its seems have more pizza restaurant than VANCOUVER? You can have hot spring water spa there.(related to its name)Not much to see not much to write but an important small village to Machu Pichu.

2008 OLLANTAYTAMBO PERU : At the northern end of sacred valley,Ollantaytambo is rare if not unique in Peru.Ollantaytambo is a massive citadel located 50km from Machu Pichu.The citadel served as both a temple and a fortress.At some time unknown,and for reasons unknown, work mysteriously stopped on the huge project.(By unknown reason we haven't visit the so called huge project but from some of my photo you can see on the mountain the huge megalithic wall)
